The students at Willis High School in Texas turned their principal into a meme, and he was a great sport about it.
Some principals would have lost their minds, suspended people, taken away privileges, but this guy was actually happy about it. Instead of ordering the janitor to take it down immediately, he let the meme stay up so everyone could see it, and just embraced it.
One of the students originally tweeted this meme out and it got shared around among other students, but then they decided to take it to the next level and print it out to hang in the school.
“He asked the janitors to leave it up because he thought it was funny,” said one of the students.
Not only did the principle think it was hilarious, it also prompted him to say that he has the best job in the world.
This all came about after he strongly cautioned them against a “minor senior prank that went over the line and did not meet the school’s community standards. I will take this anytime,” he added. “Something at my expense is far superior to any damage to property or inappropriate behavior.”
Just being reasonable and having some fun with students can make such a huge difference, instead of the administration having an adversarial relationship with them. Some principals can forget these kids are people, and people are reasonable for the most part, and another student revealed that everyone is, in fact, graduating.
