Indie-horror game Outlast 2 will not be released this year, but will appear in 2017. The developer Red Barrels Studio announced the postponement on his Facebook page a few days ago.
“We had to make a difficult decision recently. After weighing our options we’ve decided to postpone Outlast 2’s release until Q1 of 2017,” developer Red Barrels Studio writes.
The indie studio says the delay is necessary to deliver the best, most terrifying and rewarding experience. ” That’s why we’re taking just a little bit more time to make sure our vision
for Outlast 2 is in no way compromised and is the experience you deserve,” the statement said.
Outlast 1 guaranteed that even people with nerves of steel and no glimmer of fear wouldn’t feel comfortable while playing the game. With it’s perfectly timed music, lots of jump-scares
and the feeling that you’re being chased continuously, Outlast 1 makes the toughest guy cry like a baby while playing
Outlast 2 would initially come out this fall. The game will appear in the first quarter of 2017 for PlayStation 4 , Xbox One and PC.
